About Me

Coach Jeremy Magno

Movement and fitness have been a part of my life as far back as my memory goes. I was lucky enough to have a mother who knew the key to her sanity was to have children who were exhausted by the end of the day. In order to ensure this exhaustion I grew up with year round sports including swimming, soccer, baseball, martial arts, basketball, track, and football. I narrowed my focus in High School and lettered in wrestling.

The next major step in my life of fitness was enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. During those 4 years I learned more about what the human body is capable of than I ever thought possible. Along with being taught about  general fitness and rucking, I also achieved a green belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP). Towards the end of my service I was introduced to obstacle course racing (OCR) and continued to pursue this in the civilian world.

I was lucky enough to become a coach at the first OCR gym in San Diego county, the Mud Run and Obstacle Course Training center. It was here where I was able to work with and train some of the coolest ninjas to grace the American Ninja Warrior course.

Refining my personal health and fitness journey has led me to be passionate about functional and efficient movements and skills, ancestral nutrition and health, as well as endurance challenges. My current fitness endeavors include obstacle course racing, ninja warrior, parkour, trail running, and calisthenics.
